Can hypertension be inherited? What should I do? What other living habits have something to do with it?

Almost every four adults have high blood pressure. How can there be so many people with hypertension? One of the main reasons is heredity. Hypertension is obviously familial

Both parents have hypertension, and the incidence rate of hypertension is 46%. Meanwhile, about 60% of hypertensive patients have family history of hypertension.

1. The risk of hypertension doubled when one of the parents developed hypertension before the age of 55;

2. The risk of hypertension was 2.5 times higher when both parents had hypertension before the age of 55;

3. Children whose parents developed hypertension after the age of 55 had no significant increase in the risk of hypertension.

In other words, if one or both parents develop hypertension at a younger age, the risk of hypertension in the future is significantly increased.

This may have created a vicious circle, and more and more people suffer from high blood pressure. We don't have the right to choose our parents. Dr. Wang's mother is also hypertensive and his brother is also hypertensive. But Dr. Wang still thinks that the more friends with family history, the more attention should be paid to life, and the more hypertension should be prevented from childhood.

Although genetic changes are bad, healthy living habits will certainly delay the arrival of hypertension and reduce hypertension; What do you mean? If a person is doomed to hereditary hypertension in his life, but if we develop a healthy lifestyle since childhood, we can certainly delay the age of onset of hypertension; If you don't pay attention to hypertension at the age of 0, you may pay attention to hypertension at the age of 50; Can this be the same? Take less medicine for at least 20 years and cause less damage to cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and renal vessels for 20 years. If you pay attention to your blood pressure, it may only be 140 / 90. If you don't pay attention, it may be 180 / 110. Can taking one antihypertensive pill be the same as taking three antihypertensive pills?

Of course, hypertension not only has a certain relationship with heredity, but also has a certain connection with many unhealthy habits in life:

 1. Heavy mouth

China's eating habits like heavy salt. Many people like to eat out. The food in the restaurant is full of salt. A good cook has a handful of salt.

On average, we eat about 10-12g of salt every day, while the recommendation for healthy salt is about 5-6G. Of course, we can't weigh 5g every day. On the one hand, we need to develop the habit of light salt taste from childhood, on the other hand, we need to gradually reduce salt from now on.

In addition to the requirements for salt, high oil, high calories and high fat are not conducive to blood pressure control.

2. Smoking and drinking

These two habits are clearly bad habits that can lead to increased blood pressure. Both clinical findings and large-scale survey results show that smoking and drinking can increase blood pressure.

3. No exercise, obesity

Many people don't have the habit of exercise, and many people don't exercise under various excuses, which eventually leads to the rise of blood pressure; Recent studies have shown that sedentary is almost as harmful as smoking. Adhering to aerobic exercise is clearly conducive to blood pressure control. Therefore, inactivity and obesity may lead to hypertension.

4. Stay up late, high pressure

The change of modern life rhythm and lifestyle, the increase of life and work pressure, staying up late and irregular work and rest will all cause the rise of blood pressure.

We can't choose our origin. Our parents gave us skin, hair, blood... Even their high blood pressure, but what else do we have besides gratitude and filial piety?

 Congenital cannot be changed. We can only change the way of life after tomorrow; Our parents may have given us the gene for hypertension, but they didn't let us smoke and drink, didn't let us be lazy, didn't let us eat and drink, and didn't let us live an unhealthy life; Which parents don't want their children to be healthy?

Whether we have hypertension gene or not, we should develop a healthy lifestyle and throw away hypertension!
